Kimberly Joseph Lockerbie

Kimberly Joseph Lockerbie, 56, died August 2, 2017.

“Twilight rays of the sun caressed her rich auburn hair. Sandy foam danced around their feet and a zephyr chilled the air. Brilliant sails dotted the horizon and seagulls hovered above. Walking hand and hand with the man, she knew this must be love.

35 years ago they met and somehow the trials they can’t forget, But the love surrounds embraces the heart, releases the anger It strengthens a part of the intimacy, a secret revealed God’s love that can only be sealed with commitment and trust Laughter and tears, may it follow them through the years.

A child’s light captured their attention the day aged into night. Walking hand and hand with the man, she knew this must be right.

35 years ago they met and somehow the trials they can’t forget But the love surrounds embraces the heart and releases the anger It strengthens a part of the intimacy, a secret revealed God’s love that can only be sealed with commitment and trust Laughter and tears, it will follow them through the years.”

Kim, my lovely bride, Caitlin and I will miss every moment of our blessed life with you. We will always treasure the wonderful times we shared together as a family. We will always remember the joy, the laughter and support that you gave us so freely. We may never know if you saw the sunrise Wednesday morning, but we know that you saw the Son. And through God’s unfathomable grace, we look forward to His promise of our eternity together.

May you Rejoice In Paradise in His glory forever and ever.

I love you,

Dear Kevin, I hold dear the memories and fantastic times with you and Kim during my Chapel Hill days and beyond. An invite to spend time with you guys, was an guaranteed great time! A flood of memories come to mind, but some strong ones are the spaghetti dinner you guys did at your "cinder block house" on Kepley Road, the New Bern boat adventure and stay at the Ward's place on the Trent River, Top Sail Island summer getaways with all of us taking a meal turn, the many fun parties at Fearington...the grill debacle and fire department needed to put out the flames! The most amazing Christmas in Stony Brook when Matt and I needed a comfort zone and you guys gave us that and sooooo much more! Kim had an infectious laugh, fashion sense, and such a warm heart. Hugs to you and Caitlin!
