Kristi Michelle Hutchens

Kristi Michelle Hutchens, 54, of Raleigh, died suddenly at her home on July 16, 2022. Kristi was born Jun 9, 1968, in Durham, NC to parents Bruce and Linda Dollar. She moved with her parents to Raleigh in 1969, where she made many friends through school and church activities. She enjoyed playing soccer and attending children and youth activities at Trinity Baptist Church. She graduated from Sanderson High School in 1986.

Kristi attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She later attended Coastal Carolina Community College where she earned a degree in nursing. At the time of her death, she was employed by Melody Home Health Care. She loved working with her patients. She had a huge heart and her patients loved her dearly.

Kristi was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Linda Dollar, and her children, Reagan Elyse Hutchens of Boston, Massachusetts, and Sophia Grace Chambers of Raleigh. She loved her girls "to the moon and back." She is also survived by her brother, Todd, and his wife, Jennifer of Raleigh, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service for Kristi will be held on Friday, July 29 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4815 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC, with Dr. Jeff Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM, and the service to follow at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at the columbarium immediately following the service.
