You didn't necessarily have to know specific steps to enjoy dancing with Larry.  If you just listened to the music & followed his impeccable lead, you had fun & felt light of heart and step.  Like so many others, I enjoyed the social dances we shared and will miss Larry.  Joy Leigh

Larry was a Teddy Bear. We all loved to dance with him and he was always ready for his hug. He will be missed.

We met Larry through ballroom dancing and enjoyed his enthusiasm and stamina. He loved to lead a lady through intricate turns and moves that never failed to make them both look great on the floor. He is missed by a large network of ballroom friends.

Olivia Tanquary, resident in Parkwood for many years, now residing in Spain and will be a guest of Maxine Sherrell  Sept. 10 for an extended visit. Olivia was a dance partner with Larry for many years both at his home and USABDA. Maxine Sherrell was also a dance partner both in his home at parties ,and USABDA. Larry was a delightful Pianist and always the consumate gentleman.

I was so sorry to hear of Larry passing. He was a good friend and neighbor. Larry celebrated life well, by dance and playing the piano. I will miss him always.

Larry was not only a wonderful dancer that knew how to lead the ladies around ther dance floor; he was also one of the best ambassadors for the sport of Ballroom Dancing that I have ever known.  He spearheaded the Triangle USA Dance chapter's outreach program for years, scheduling dancers to preform at local nursing /retirement homes.  His effort and hard work gave their residents many hours of pleasure and enjoyment.  He will truely be missed in our community, but I am sure the Angels above are very happy to have him with them.

Larry had an innate sense of the music, and he used it well.  Dancing with Larry was like floating rhythmically and gracefully through the air - a very ethereal feeling.  He was a great supporter of the dance community, and we will all miss him.  Those of us lucky enough to have danced with Larry will never forget the swirling pleasure of gliding across the floor with him...

I met Larry several years ago at a dance, and always enjoyed twirling and spinning around the floor with him.  He will be missed.

Yes! Larry was a wonderful dance partner, as he made every lady feel like a princess. He is greatly missed!

Larry was the reason and Elliott and I have danced with a wonderful group of people for the last 15 years.  He was always a smooth dancer and a good leader that made all the girls looked good.  We will miss Larry and have missed in  on the dance floor.  We will always remember Larry as our friend.

WE BECAME VERY FOND OF LARRY AS A RESULT OF OUR MOVE TO N.C. 4 YEARS AGO AND OUR COMMON INTEREST IN BALLROOM DANCING.HIS PASSION FOR MUSIC AND DANCING WAS INSPIRING TO ALL WHO KNEW THIS GIFTED MAN.HE WAS A DEDICATED SUPPORTER OF ALL DANCE VENUES IN THE AREA AND VOLUNTEERED MANY HOURS IN SUPPORT OF THEIR VARIOUS COMMITTEES.BILL/JOAN MOORE

I always enjoyed dancing with Larry. He had his own special moves and was always complementary to his dance partner. He will be missed by every lady who danced with him, including me.
