Born on September 3rd, 1930, in Atlanta, GA, he was affectionately known as “Buddy” to his parents, Helena Jorgensen and LeRoy Fuss II.
After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology he enjoyed a lengthy career in mechanical and aerospace engineering, working on numerous types of planes as well as global communications technologies. In his spare time, he was an avid woodworker and a devoted volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.
LeRoy is survived by his two children, David and Laura, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Paris.
By his own request, a private interment will be held at St Raphael the Archangel Catholic church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests honoring the memories of LeRoy and his beloved Ann with donations to Safe Haven for Cats of Raleigh, NC, or a preferred local animal rescue organization.
