He was born in East Haven, Connecticut on June 13, 1932. Lyman was married to Sonja Nystrand on December 10, 1955; they were married 66 years. Lyman worked for IBM for 35 years and provided a wonderful life for his family. Lyman is survived by his wife Sonja (Sunny) and three children: Mark Howe, Gregg Howe (wife Darcy), and Lisa McPartland. The Howe legacy is carried on by the three grandchildren, Evan, Anders, and Erik.
The celebration of life, with reception to follow, will be held at 2 pm on November 26, 2022, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Millbrook Rd. in Raleigh. A private burial will be held at a later date. Donations may be given to the Salvation Army of Wake County.
