Marcie Harlan Greb

Marcie had a joyful spark that attracted everyone she met. A sweet, happy baby, she was content to observe all that was happening around her. Marcie enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, bowling, swimming, and generally hanging out with family and friends. She loved to sing along to all genres of music and would often break out dancing. Her hearty fondness of cheese led her family to nickname her Mouse.

She was an employee of Wake Enterprises for most of her adult life, and she also worked for Goodwill. She looked forward to summer camps at Lutheridge in Arden, NC. She considered everyone she met her friends and would say she missed them even twenty or thirty years after she had last seen them. Her memories of her entire life were startling. Anyone who played Concentration with her when she was six had a challenge beating her. Marcie's life was a lesson in determination for all who knew her.

Marcie is survived by her sisters, Laura and Mina, her caregiver Shyvonne, and her parents Beth and Rich. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

A Memorial Service for Marcie will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. A reception will immediately follow the service.
