

Margaurite (Czerna) Hamilton, 90, of Raleigh passed away peacefully on November 17, 2010. She was born on February 22, 1920 in Manville, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna Czerna. She was preceded in death by sisters, Vilma (DeBray), Elsie and Anna Czerna; and brothers, Louis and Michael Czerna.
Margaurite lived for many years in Troutman, North Carolina, before relocating to the Raleigh area in 1966. She was employed by the North Carolina Department of Revenue from which she retired in 1991. She also worked for many years at the Ivey’s and Dillard’s Department Stores.
Margaurite lived life to the fullest, traveling extensively and enjoying the company of family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
Margaurite is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret (Binky) Tripp and her husband, Robert of Westport Point, Massachusetts; her son, Charles Hamilton of Charleston, West Virginia; daughter, Elizabeth (Betse) Hamilton of Pinehurst, North Carolina; son, William Hamilton and his wife, Karen, of Raleigh and daughter, Kathryn (Hamilton) Vaughan also of Raleigh. She was also blessed by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, Friday, November 19, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, at the Brown-Wynne Chapel.
