OBITUARY

Mrs. Marilyn June Adams

June 22, 1932November 22, 2013

Marilyn June Adams, 81, of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully into the Lord’s embrace on Friday November 22, 2013. Marilyn was born on June 22nd, 1932 in Bloomington, Illinois and is preceded in death by her father Arthur Eagar and mother Myrtle Clara Springer Reece Eagar of Lower Lake, California as well as her brother Harold “Bud” Reece of Witt, Illinois.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Henry Brooks Adams Sr.; sons William A. Adams and wife Liz of Raleigh, NC; Henry Brooks Adams Jr. and wife Sherry of Raleigh, NC; and daughter Anneliese Steed and husband Eric of Raleigh, NC; brother Keith Eagar and wife Joyce of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Amy Adams, Brooke Adams, Tara Buckner, Scott Adams, Loral Hauff, Kyle Adams, and Madison Steed; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

For the first 20 years of her married life, Marilyn spent her time as a full time homemaker and military spouse making every duty station a home surrounded by love. After the military, she spent her professional life as an Office Manager in the financial and agricultural industries in South Florida.

She was an avid reader and lover of roses; her favorite time of the year was spring and she so loved the awakening of the trees and flowers and the re-birth of the new season. She found love and comfort in her family and taught us all how important the love of family was to the human spirit. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched and she will ever be in our minds and hearts for each hour of each day. The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wake Forest, NC; their care, compassion, and support they provided her and the family during her stay will forever be remembered.
