Denton was born April 27, 1944 to the late Marvin and Nellie Cormany in Marion, VA.
Denton was the Raleigh City Director with the marketplace ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ where he had the opportunity to lead teams of men and women to present Christ and develop spiritual leaders most of his adult life in cities, regionally, nationally and internationally. His passion was to see spiritual awakening in the lives of believers, as they rediscover God for who He is, embrace prayer as their life-line, and appropriate by faith the good works God has prepared for them.
Denton never met a stranger, and touched many lives with a practical approach to God’s Word. With a song always on his lips, he looked at life positively and viewed problems as an opportunity to be used by God.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Robin Cormany of Zebulon, NC—the love of his life and partner in ministry; son, concert pianist and composer Clinton Cormany of London, UK; and daughter, graphic designer and artist Claire Cormany of Birmingham, AL; sister, Peggy Cormany Jones and family of Chatham, VA; and the family of his sister, Phyllis Cormany Blackhurst (deceased).
