Melanie was born in Middletown Ohio to Alva Rice Webb and Henry Webb on October 5, 1946. She passed after a short, but intense, battle with cancer and its side effects on October 1, 2016 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Melanie is survived by her two older brothers, Johnny Webb (wife Jerrie Webb) and Tony Webb (wife Faye Webb), her daughter and son-in-law Amanda and James Shuler III, two grandsons, Hank and Bill Shuler, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews. Melanie lived in the Orlando area for about 40 years after moving down from Ohio in her early twenties. She also spent a number of years in Tampa, Florida and in Raleigh, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Killarney Baptist Church on Saturday October 15, 2016.
