Born August 28, 1953 in Louisburg NC, he was the son of the late Howard T. Baggett and Peggy W. Baggett
Michael worked in the automotive industry for the past 35 years. He was currently employed with Capital Mazda-Lincoln as a Finance Director in Cary, NC.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Catherine Cooper Baggett; two daughters Kellie Baggett, Raleigh NC and Melody Gurley of Jacksonville, FL. Two sisters, Ann Willet and her husband Bob of Roswell, GA. Charleen Baggett and her husband Richard Strickler of Raleigh NC. One Brother, Christopher Baggett of Edenton, NC. One grandson, Taylor Richards of Jacksonville, FL and three nephews, Jason Whitley of Atlanta, GA, Ian Pierce of Carolina Beach, NC and Tommy Baggett, of Edenton, NC. One niece, Katie Baggett, of Edenton, NC.
