Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Vernon R. Holcomb, brothers; Robert, Russell and Raymond. She is survived by her children; Jeanne Hess, Judith Turner, Jay Holcomb, and Joseph Holcomb and wife, Margot, grandchildren;Michael (Erica), Eric, Carrie (Keith), Philip (Jennifer), great-grandchildren; Guy, Ramsie, Devin, Summer, Onica, and Siera.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5,2014, 7:00 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
