Joe was a loving husband to his wife Ada of 35 years and a devoted father to his three sons, Joey (Samantha Crawford), Shane (Kathryn), and Jason. He was a PaPa to 4 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Joe retired from College Paint and Body Shop after 25 years of service and continued auto body work for another 20+ years by running his own business, Canady Enterprise. He enjoyed time with Ada at their beach house at Emerald Isle and being an active member of the Rambling Rebels Car Club.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held with family receiving visitors at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road in Raleigh from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
