Patti graduated from St. Agnes High School in 1964 and from Monroe Community College in 1966 with a degree in Business Administration. She retired in 2003 from RG&E, where she worked as the Community Outreach Director. Prior to that she worked at Rochester Telephone. She enjoyed knitting and cooking in her free time, as well as reaching out to friends and relatives on Facebook.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Gerald Fichter, her son, Gerald Fichter, Jr. (Karen) of Raleigh, and daughter, Jennifer Davis (Stacey) of Durham, three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, P.O. Box 1649, Wake Forest, NC 27588 or at www.savinggracenc.org.
