Pearl Giddens Honeycutt

Pearl was an active and dedicated member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She worked for the N.C. Department of Agriculture for over 30 years and for the N.C. Legislature. She enjoyed playing bridge and visiting her grandchildren. She had many friends who loved her and will cherish her memories forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus; her brothers, James, Henry and Albert Giddens; and her sister, Bertha Giddens.

Pearl is survived by her son, Randy Gray and wife Becky, of Goldsboro, NC; grandchildren, Erika, Amanda, Jessie, Justin, Tabitha and Jennifer; and sisters, Ruby Giddens and Winnie Martel; and step-children, Brenda Lewis, David Lancaster, Sandra Bullock and Jimmy Honeycutt, of the Raleigh area.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pearl’s honor.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday November 2, 2013 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2100 Noble Rd., Raleigh, NC 27608. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at Montlawn Memorial Gardens.
