Phillip "Campy" Marshall Campbell

Phil was born in Gastonia, NC on November 14, 1956. He graduated from Enloe High School. He then went on to ECU where he was in the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Phil had a career in the lighting industry for 43 years beginning at House of Lights and culminating at Lights Unlimited, where he retired from in 2023. Phil loved to travel, especially with his dad, sister and brother-in-law. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, loved the beach and listening to music. He loved his kids and family immensely and spending time with them was among his favorite things.

Phil is survived by his sister, Kaye Greene and husband Bob; son, Brandon Campbell; daughter, Sherrie Smith and husband John; niece, Tracy Branch and husband Lenny; nephew, Rob Greene and wife Candace; grandchildren, Taylor Brisson and Mason Smith; and great grandson, Kian Hansen.

Phil is preceded in death by his mother, Dolly Campbell; and father, Marshall Campbell.

A visitation will be held at 1pm Saturday January 27 followed by the celebration of life at 2pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home located at 1701 East Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC.
