Quenton Herbert Hill, 88, after a brief illness, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on February 5, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Trinity, NC, to the late Charlie and Venia Hill. Quenton graduated from Trinity High School, Lees-McRae College and after four years in the Air Force, earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina. He enjoyed a career in the United States Justice Department, retiring in 1988.
Golfing with long time partners, Sid Huggins and Ed Nadeau, at North Ridge Country Club was the highlight of retirement along with part-time work with Duke Hospital in Durham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eva, and brother Cecil. Quenton is survived by his loving wife, Luanne, of 66 years, Daughter Kaye Garruto (Anthony), Melinda Mayo (David), sister Jeanette Davis, nephew Steve Hill (Sylvia), three grandchildren and their spouses, and five great grandchildren who entertained him greatly.
