Ramona Gardner Gardner Digh

Ramona was born July 26, 1928 in Lincoln County, NC to James Gardner and Leona Pendleton Gardner. She was married in 1944 and moved to Raleigh in 1954. She was employed with the NC Department of Agriculture for over 20 years and was a member of Millbrook United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Propst; Juanita Little; Loretta Reinhardt.

Ramona is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert S. Digh; daughters, Gail Lehning and husband, Lawrence of Cary; Joan Helms and her husband, Ken of High Point; Robin Broughton and her husband, Bill of Raleigh; son, Robert Digh, Jr. and his wife, Denise of Independence, VA; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 1712 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh NC 27609. Interment will follow the service at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
