Rayetta Newton Rodemaker

Rayetta was born October 30, 1943, to the late Ray J. and Loretta Mae Newton. She was a 1962 graduate of Needham Broughton High School, additionally she obtained her Computer Programming degree from ECPI and worked as a Computer Programmer for numerous companies. After a successful career, Rayetta retired from the Finance Department at Wake Medical Center of Raleigh in 2010. Besides spending time with family and friends, Rayetta had a passion for traveling, shopping, and relaxing on the beach. Rayetta was happily married to Roger (Rod) Rodemaker who was her partner in life for 38 years at the time of her death.

Rayetta is survived by her husband Rod; brother Jimmy Newton; daughters, Kandy Foster and husband Tommy, Bobbie Gilbar and husband Joey, Julie Rodemaker, Hope Pence and husband Bryan, and Mary Norris and husband Jerry; sons, Scott Walker, and Alan Rodemaker and wife Leah; 10 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 14th from 12:30 until 2:30 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC. with a Graveside Service at 3:00 PM at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC.
