Renee Anne Martin

A native of Louisburg, LA, Renee dedicated nearly 20 years of service to Walmart before embracing her most cherished role as a full-time homemaker. Her life was one of quiet faith, enduring love, and generous spirit—qualities she shared freely with all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Jimmy “Joey” Martin, Jr.; her children, Jimmy “Trey” Martin III, Ryan Matthew Martin, Megan Michaela-Martin Fruge and her husband Tyler; and her precious grandson, Braydon Fruge.

Renee now rests in the loving arms of her Savior, reunited with her parents, Bernadine Fuselier Bourque and Jean “Johnny” Louis Bourque; and her sister, Jennifer Faye Bourque.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Following the visitation, Renee will be returned to her beloved Louisiana for additional services and burial. Final arrangements in Opelousas, LA will be announced soon.

The Martin family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Duke Hospice and the Hospice Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC, for their unwavering kindness and dignity in Renee’s final days.

As we mourn Renee’s passing, we also rejoice in the promise of her eternal life—fully healed, wrapped in divine light, and surrounded by everlasting peace.
