Born on June 9, 1955, in Ellenville, New York, Richard carried with him a deep appreciation for his roots and the connections he built throughout his life. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his beloved daughter, Elyse Viele, and son-in-law, Mark Viele; his treasured grandchildren, Graham and Brett Viele; his brothers, Michael and Carl (Nancy); his sisters, Jane (Sanford) and Alice (David); as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Phyllis and Stanley Rosenstock.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park - Jewish Cemetery Section at 7501 Glenwood Avenue Raleigh NC 27612.
Richard’s kindness, strength, and enduring love for his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew him always.
