He is survived by daughters, Cindy B. Cayton and husband, Don, Ashley B. Taylor and husband, Adam; sons, Robert E. Bass, Jr. and wife, Karen, and Michael Bass; sisters, Nancy Clark, Patricia “Patsy” Bass, and Cathy Skinner; brother, Douglas Bass, grandchildren; Carleigh, Ireland, and Leah Cayton, R.E.B.,III and Katelyn Bass, and Carson and Garrett Taylor. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Bass.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9,2014 at 2 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh.
