Robert John Linehan

Bob was born on December 13, 1924 in Dobbs Ferry, NY, to the late Jeremiah and Elizabeth Linehan. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Roberta Linehan; his sons JC Linehan of Idaho, Robert Linehan of Texas; his daughters Kathleen Linehan of New York, Trish Linehan and husband Ryan Robert of Fayetteville, and Robin Linehan Carter and husband Tim of Durham; and his grand-children Tye Jones and wife Kristin of California, Jeremy Jones and wife Tori of Charlotte, Chase Harrison of Pennsylvania, Leni and Ali Filer of California and his great grand-children Natalie Jones, Kathleen Grace Jones, Audrey Jones, Alexa Jones, and Lucas Filer. He is also survived by his older sister Audrey VanderWegen of California and brother John Linehan and wife Maria of Florida.

He was pre-deceased by his brother Jeremiah Linehan, and daughter Barbara Linehan Filer.

Bob served in the United States Marines during WWII, serving in the South Pacific and Japan.

A memorial service for Bob will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC, 27609. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org) or to The Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
