Linda, I knew it must be a year by now and still so many things in daily life remind me of dear Roger. What a wonderful man he was, a true gentle giant who shared so much talent and kindness with so many over the years. I like to think he is still painting in a beautiful place - the flowers of Spring - especially the purple iris and white daisies.
Roger will remain in my heart always.

I well remember Roger at Brantley and Slover family functions in Fayetteville; he and I had some wonderful conversations. His sister Kathleen Brantley Slover was my aunt. I offer my condolences to his wife Linda, sister Evelyn and husband Frank, and entire family. He was a good, Christman man who has his reward with the Lord.

God Bless.

Roger was a prince among men, and one of my best friends ever! When I came to Raleigh in 1977 he was my co-worker and we immediately became good friends. Later when we had our own business, he was my teacher - sharing the wonders of the art world with me - painting, calligraphy, photography, design, all of which he had mastered. His airbrush art/retouching ability was the best on the East coast, and the advertising world loved what he was able to do to promote their clients' products.
Roger was the dearest friend and I'm thankful to have known him for so many years. He will be greatly missed by many.

Roger was a very good friend of Charles Holland. Roger would always call and check-up on me from time to time after Charles' death and I really appreciated that. What a lovely man. -- Dot Holland
