I never got the chance to know Ron well, but he played such an important part of my life over the past few years. I am forever grateful for his kind heart and gentle nature. I've never seen my mom happier than during the time she spent with Ron. And he also was a great caretaker of my cats and our beagle Ella. We all miss Ron, but the happiness and love that he left all around him lingers and will remain with us.

The first time I met Ron was 45 years ago, at the prime age of 13. Ron came to our house to see my Sister (Martha) along with one of his mates. Remember he was kind and treated my sister with respect. Then life has a way of taking over, college, jobs, marriage, children, then the circle starts over again. Who knew Ron and Martha would connect again and rekindle old feelings.Life is quite amazing, I do believe things happen for a reason; Ron and Martha's reason was to experience happiness again. Saw it first hand when I met Ron again 45 years later. Did not know Ron well but I do know this,he was a kind, gentle, caring guy that wanted the best for everyone. Thanks for bringing joy back in my Sisters life as short as it may have been.

Ron brought so much happiness to my mother when he moved down here to Raleigh. He in turn brought happiness to my whole family. I will never forget someone that has had such an impact on my life in such a short time.

Tracy and family, so sorry for your loss. Ron really was a special guy. Always remaining calm, cool, collected, but with that trademark dry sense of humor, mixed with sarcasim. I am sure I also gave him a few extra gray hairs or so he always claimed! We sure had some nights at that Casino you just could not imagine unless you were there, but he always got us through the tough times, when you didn't think you could make it. Glad to hear he found someone special to share his life with. Rest in peace Klienow.

Ronald was my dear friend... he was always there for anyone in need...or had to vent.  He would always reply with humor...and that's what he taught me.  Never take life so seriously.  Because of this...he reminded me of my dad who always said.."Never sweat the small stuff...you were born alone and you will die alone...Everything in between is small stuff".  Ron has gotten me through some tough days at work and I will always be grateful to God for allowing me the chance to befriend such an awesome person.  I was sooo elated that Ron was finally "happy" with his Soulmate. I will never forget our breakfast specials and recapping the crazy night at the casino.  I will forever remember him...my coworker...my friend.  I love you and rest now with God.

"R.J." ... I will never forget our good times as neighbors, and the fun times we had on the police department. So many wonderful memories I will always cherish. Rest in Peace my friend.

I was shocked and saddened at the passing of Ron.  At work he was known as "Uncle Ron", "Teddy Bear", and "Huggy Bear". Nothing ever ruffled his feathers, no matter what situation, or how serious, Ron was always calm, cool, and collected. Nothing seemed to affect him. Everything around him could be falling apart. However, Ron was always there with his calming influence, and words of wisdom. I remember at breakfast one day after work, the first time he told us about this woman named Martha that he had dated some time ago, had tracked him down on the internet. Telling us, his eyes sparkled, and he was so excited. From that time on he was so happy. As time went on it was so obvious that Ron found the one person that completed him. Although I was sorry to see him move, at the same time I could not help but to be so happy for him. Ron, you will always be remembered and missed, dear friend.

Thanks for the laughs, ocassional kind words and gifting me with your friendship. You'll always be remembered and missed!
