Roy Lee Squires

Roy Lee Squires, 80, of Raleigh, joined the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2013. Roy worked at Peden Steele for 18 years after serving his Country in the Unites States Armed Forces. He was a master mechanic who loved animals and loved to help others and never met a stranger. He loved his grandkids, as well as his gardening, hunting, and playing guitar. Roy spent many hours on his boat fishing with his children. More than anything Roy enjoyed long talks with family and friends over a cup of coffee and a cigarette break.

Roy is survived by his wife, Mary Frances of fifty-seven years; his 3 surviving children Mary Wilson; Deboraha Holden and husband, Willie Holden, Stephen Squires and wife, Susan Squires, sister-in-law, Martha Grogan, grandchildren, Roy Lee, James Wilson and wife, Samantha Varnum-Wilson, Christopher Holden, Danielle Wilson, Rachel Holden, and Austin Squires. Preceded in death by his son, David Le Roy Squires and surviving spouse, Lorna Squires, Jefferson Day and spouse, Stephanie Day.
