Ruth Kaufman Blick

Ruth Kaufman Blick, 92, died December 2, 2015. She was born in Newark, NJ on December 29, 1922. She worked as a registered nurse, who had a reputation for rendering excellent care, at Rex and Wake in the areas of Obstetrics and Pediatrics, as well as Emergency Care. She also had supervisory responsibilities including the team that opened Wake. She did some private duty nursing serving patients in their homes.

Ruth is survived by her devoted partner and husband with whom she had a long, loving marriage of 71 years, Milton; children, Barry Blick (Scottie), Barbara Lewin (William), and Marilyn Gross (Irv); grandchildren, Adam Blick (Randi) and their children, Jonah and Logan, Stephen Blick (Beth) and their children, Mason and Ryan, Amanda Hunter (Kenneth) and their daughter, Rebekah, and Rachel Abramczyk (Tony).

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Friday, December 4, 2015 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. Burial will follow at Raleigh Hebrew Cemetery, 450 N. State St, Raleigh, NC 27601.
