Ruth TenBraak was born in Sioux Center, IA to Henry and Jennie TenBraak. After HIgh School she spent her young adult years working as a custodian for a school that specializes in educating special needs children. In 2004 Ruth made the move to Lexington, KY where her sister Marlene lived. They moved to Raleigh in 2008 and have resided here ever since. Ruth leaves behind older sister Marlene, Raleigh, nephew Philip, his wife Michelle and great nephew Hank, Philadelphia, PA. Younger sister Nancy Naddy and her husband Kevin, Maple Grove, MN, niece Megan, Sebeka, MN and nephew John, Maple Grove, MN.
Ruth was involved in the Joy Class at Providence, worked in the nursery for LAMBS Bible study and attended Saltshakers Bible Study group, She could be found patrolling the pool at Whitehall during the summer months, bragging to her friends how her tan was the best around. She was a friend to all, and was an easygoing, beacon of joy wherever she went.
Services will be held on Saturday October 12 at 11:00 AM at Providence Church 6339 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh
