Spruce Pines, Emerald Isle, giving your Dad grief at 5:45 am at the rink to tie your skates tighter. And that big smile that said you knew something that the rest of us didn't...
We'll always remember you Sam.

We in the Wilmington Hockey Family only heard about Sam Recently. I actually remember meeting Him at the rink during one of the Hurricane camps and saw Him occasionally when We were Up in Raleigh playing. Please know that the Clipper Hockey Family will Keep Your Family in our Prayers. The Coastal Carolina Clippers.

No parent should ever have to bury their child; it is at times like these - no matter a day or a year ago - that words fail, and seem hollow, empty and inadequate. All one can do is to relish the memories of the time you did spend together, and honor Sam's memory by never letting it fade. Time does not heal all wounds; it simply changes acute pain to a dull hurt. My sympathy is with you and your family.
