Shelby was beautiful inside and out.  She had a way of making me feel like a part of her family and always let me know how much she loved me.  I will miss the wonderful times and talks we had almost every week.  I can not ever forget just how she touched my life and I know she touched so many more.  She loved her family in a way that I have not seen before.  I know she will be missed by all!!  Shelby, I just hope that you know just how much you were loved.....

Rest easy sweet Shelby, your our angel now. Thank you for always being so warm and welcoming to Rylan and I, you treated us like your own. I have nothing but fond memories to hold on to until we meet again. We will all miss you more then words could possibly ever express. I'll give Rylan some sugar from you. Much love!

The first time I met you, you welcomed me as if you knew me forever...you became my sister without the 'in law' attached to it. I have loved you from the very first hug and you will live on in my heart forever! no words can express how much i love you, but, i know that you know....You and I are kindred spirits my sweet Sissy and i will miss you so very much..but, i will continue to talk to you everyday..now i just won't have to use the phone...  i love you and will see you again..and i will take good care of your brother, like i promised.

Our sweet Shelby...you will be truely missed by all of your family here in Virginia. We spent way too little time together as we got older but I keep the memories close to my heart. We love you and we will see you again some day.

We are praying for each of you, Debbie , Donald, Ronnie, David, Bobbie, Sara, Morgan & all the rest of Shelby's family & friends. We will always love Shelby & all of you.  To meet Shelby, was to love her and be loved by her. She has a special gift of loving and accepting each of us. This gift is one she will continue to have  and many in the next life will benefit from knowing our sweet Shelby. On our last visit in February, we enjoyed seeing & being with Shelby. We asked her to go to Cato's with us. She was ready to go. She said she was going to call us the Cato girls from now on. She enjoyed the ride in the country because we drove to a Cato in Henderson. We had explored all of the Cato's in Raleigh in the previous two weeks. So we all decided it would be fun to take the drive to Henderson. Shelby reminisced  about growing up in the country. Her stories were always entertaining. She found a top she wanted to buy. The funny thing was, Tamara & I had both bought the very same top the week before. We were all going to wear our tops together this summer. Shelby was always fun to be with and we loved laughing together. We appreciated her always being there for Tamara & Rob and the boys. It was comforting for me to know Shelby was there when I couldn't be. We send all of you our love and prayers and our testimony that we will all see Shelby again!

My dear, sweet cousin, Donald....you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard the news.  Although I did not know Shelby personally, I felt like I did through my mom and dad.  They loved her very much as they do you, and had nothing but great things to say about her.  My deepest sympathy to you and all of the family.

I stood watching as the little boat sailed out to sea. As she disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, “She is gone”. But the sea was narrow. On the farther shore a band of friends and family had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they saw the tiny boat and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered …”She is Gone”, a glad shout went up in Joyous welcome, “Here she comes!”   Debbie and Donald, we are heart-sick for you. What a wonderful person she was, and we will love her memory always.

To my wonderful granny- 
Thank you for giving me everything and for being one of the biggest lights of my life.  I loved every precious moment I spent with you in my eighteen years.  With every ounce of me, I will will miss her...but she is finally free and whole. Well my amazing granny has past and gone to heaven on Tuesday it is very hard to me we were really close I don't know how I'm going to go without her but I know that she knows that I love her very very much I feel for all of my family that is dealing what I am dealing with I truly feel for my papa and all of my wonderful cousins Sarah and Debby and Gaven and Jezelle and Jenneveve I love them all and feel for even more of my family but it all get better somehow maybe not soon but somehow someway.

Shelby was so very special to so many. The way she welcomed me into the Griffith family meant so much to me. She was a wonderful friend and sister in law and I will never forget her. Morgan loved her so much and she was always there for her and for that I will always be thankful for that. She is our Angel in Heaven now. Love you Granny!
