Stephen Michael Bonack Sr.

Steve was born in Kingston, New York on May 26, 1948.He graduated from Saugerties High School and continued on to receive an Associates Degree from Ulster County Community College.

Steve and Mary were married on September 23rd,1972; they were married 51 years.

Steve worked as a Product Manager at IBM for 32 years, retiring from there in 2000. He then worked at Cisco Systems in a similar role until he retired for good in 2014. In his retirement, Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife Mary. He also volunteered at his church, Saint Francis of Assisi, in Raleigh.

Steve is survived by his wife Mary, children Scott and Steve, sister Sharon Brennan, Daughter in-law Jenny Bonack, grandchildren Owen and Brynn, and other family and friends.

The celebration of his life will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday February 7th at 1pm. There will be a mass followed by an interment of ashes ceremony.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org in his name.
