Susan Kimberly Rahal, 60 of Raleigh, NC, passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2026.
Susie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ayoub and Elaine Rahal of Huntington, WV.
Susie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Troy Anderson, and their children, Brent and Tristan Anderson of Raleigh. Her stepmother, Mary Rahall of Huntington, WV, and her many cousins, whom she loved dearly.
Susie graduated from Huntington High School in 1985 and moved to Raleigh in 1992, where she worked as a clerk for Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC for 33 years. She enjoyed the Coffee House events on Friday nights at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and participating in the NC State Best Buddies program each semester for many years. Susie loved going to dances, attending plays, and movies.
Susie was blessed with many dear friends who became family to her and who supported her over the years. Cathie Strawbridge, Peggy Ruop, Kenyetta Hardne, Lous and Debra Morgan, and the staff of Kingdom Transportation, and most recently, Shauna McCutcheon and the loving staff of Orchid Gardens Senior Care.
Celebration of Life for Susie will be held on Friday, June 12th, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with visitation at 12 noon, followed by Services beginning at 1 pm by Pastor Marsha Anderson, with the funeral procession and interment in Raleigh Memorial Park. The family invites everyone to a reception following the services at the home of Becky and Troy Anderson, 2300 Legacy Ct, Raleigh, NC 27615.
