Born on October 17th, 1946 in Raleigh, North Carolina, Vicky started the journey of a wonderful and sweet life. She is the daughter of the late Fredrick Paris Daniel and Dorothy Yearby, she attended Broughton High School and was in the first graduating class from Enloe High School. She then attended Brigham Young University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, continuing a life of love and service. She served as a public school teacher at Carroll Middle, West Millbrook Middle and Louisburg High school for over 30 years, touching the lives of thousands of students . She was a beloved mother, grandma, and member of her church community attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When she wasn’t teaching and serving, you could probably find her at the beach, watching Jeopardy, doing a puzzle or baking a cake.
She is remembered, loved and survived by her husband of 50 years, Jeff Garrison, sister Donna Cooke, her 4 children and their spouses, Derek and Amber Garrison, Brent and Trish Garrison, Katie And Stephen Beckstrand and Kyle and Megan Garrison, 16 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, namely, Hailey And James Waldron, Elder Sean Garrison, Elder Kaleb Beckstrand, Jackson, Karly, Blake, Conner, Hannah, Aubrey, Sam, Patton, Sarah, James, Evelyn, Molly, Rosemary, Abby, and Violet.
There will be an opportunity to gather with the family on Sunday June 22nd from 6:30 till 8pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Millbrook Rd in Raleigh. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday June 23rd at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Six Forks Rd in Raleigh for a time of remembrance.
