I worked with Jan at Millbrook elementary School for several years in the late 1990's. I was an assistant in the Autistic class. I loved Jan! She was friendly, warm, and cheerful, and seemed to have a great time each time I saw her. She was supportive when things did not go too well. She was a friend. She also was a very attractive looking woman and seemed to be in great physical shape (better than some of the younger teachers!).

Every once in a while, when driving by her house, i'd see her outside and stop and chat. I drove by the house last week and wondered about her, as usual.

I know that Jan's mother lived a very long life. My only disappointment is that Jan did not live to 110!

I extend my sincerest condolences to the family. Jan was a gift. She is a happy memory for me.
