Artie, David and Family,
I was so sorry to learn of Wayland's passing. I grew up around the corner on Snow Hill St. Your family was one of the kindest in Ayden. I have wonderful memories of playing football in your side yard and your mother coming out and yelling, "Y'all be careful and don't run over my cedar tree." Now that tree is maybe 50 feet tall. I ran with the football by grabbing onto Wayland's belt and heading toward the goal line.
I know you will miss him. Please pass my good wishes on to your family.

Florence and Wayland were the best neighbors one could ever have. They welcomed us to the South in the early 1970's. When our son turned 16, Wayland gave him a job at the bank as a Courier. It was tough seeing them move away from our neighborhood.
We send our deepest sympathies to Florence and her girls. May Wayland rest in the arms of our loving Savior.

Florence and family, We remember Wayland with such fondness. Please know that we have all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Just found this out. At the Dr’s okay, we are on the way to visit Chip and Jen. Just wanted you to know that we are thinking of all of you. I will see you when we return. Not sure of return date. A couple weeks I think.
