She was the wife of Robert H. Eppenstein, predeceased in 2005. Born in West Ham, Essex, England. She was the daughter of the late Frederick W.J. Tuckett and Sophia (Stiles) Tuckett, and was predeceased by her twin brother, William J. Tuckett, of Brighton, England.
Joan was employed over the years as a seamstress and for Shaner's Candy Co., West Reading, until she retired in 1991. Joan became a U.S. citizen in 1964.
She is survived by a son, Thomas E., of Stoney Creek Mills and a daughter, Linda R. (Eppenstein) Shutt, of Flower Mound, Texas.
There are also four grandchildren; Paige (Eppenstein) Anderson; Morgan and Dillon Eppenstein, and Katrina (Shutt) Brandle. There are also six great-grandchildren; Logan Anderson, Norah, Laurel, Jack, Amelia, and Brandt Eppenstein and spouses Janice Anderson, Sara Eppenstein.
Services will be graveside. Inurnment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton, on October 24th, at 11:00 am. Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 391 West Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606 is in charge of arrangements.
