Barbara Ann Campbell Snell

Barbara [ Gram Barb ], went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tues. January 26th 2016 after a brief illness. Born 4-11-1938 to John F. and Eleanor Sproatt in Santa Monica CA. She graduated from St Monicas High School and later married Doug Campbell. They soon moved to Chico CA where they started their family of three boys; Jim, John and Bruce. In 1963 they moved to Red Bluff where she became a homemaker and loving mother. Barbara devoted her life to children and she began working at Lincoln St. School as a Playground Supervisor. She continued working within the school system as a Teachers Aide and Librarians Assistant at Jackson Heights and Metteer schools. During this time she also provided daycare in her home where she touched many lives with her kind heart and outgoing personality. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Gram Barb cherished her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her three sons, Jim (Tanya), John (Anita) all of Red Bluff and Bruce ( Danielle) of Fresno along with grandchildren : John Trevor, Scott, Clayton, Shannon, Madeline and Abigail, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery on Sat. Feb. 6th at 1 :00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
