Charles "Charlie" Harry Lasley

A lifelong resident of Red Bluff, Charles (known as Charlie to his friends and family) enjoyed a life full of family and hobbies.

After graduating from Red Bluff High in 1957, Charlie spent four decades working as a millwright and retired from Pactiv in 2004. There, Charlie was able to put his mechanical ability and creativity to work (including making his co-workers' hard hats resemble 49er helmets in the early ‘90s).

Outside of his career, Charlie constantly explored new interests and new cuisines. Some of his vast interests included photography, astronomy, beer making, olive curing, fishing, hunting, target shooting, cooking, archery, trips to the ocean, and gardening. Charlie enjoyed being an enigma. Easy to love, but hard to fully understand. He was a man who enjoyed “roughing it” (as he would say) deep in a forest as much as he enjoyed reading a classic novel or methodically exploring a museum. He was a man who modeled character and integrity in all aspects of his life.

In his personal life, Charlie was a dedicated father and husband. Charlie’s first marriage to Tina Gunsauls in 1961 provided him with his two daughters. He married Maureen Lasley in 1980, and the two were married until her passing in 2022.

Charlie raised and is survived by four children: Dawn, Jill, stepdaughter Jennifer, and son Christopher. He is further survived by a legacy that includes three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In place of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Tehama Shooters Association.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers, 816 Walnut Street, Red Bluff, California, on July 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
