Remembering you Aunt Clara,
I remember the time you visited me back in the 90s,
when I lived in Bridgeport, CT on Chalmers Avenue.
You made the cross-country drive from California by yourself. What a brave lady you were!
When I gave you the tour of my 1918 house, I remember how much you loved it.

Many childhood memories are coming back.
Mom always told me that you were my Godmother, but you couldn't make it
to the ceremony because it was snowing!
I always remember you as being very youthful and pretty.
You will be missed and never forgotten.

We will all miss you and especially your sister, my Mom,
Hazel Witkowski Pasqua.
I know you are at peace now, with family who have gone before and no longer suffering.

I have so many memories of aunt claire, we wrote back and forth to each other for many years....she was a pip of a person...she would mail a check for stamps or if you sent her a gift she had no problem saying well I don't eat nuts so you shouldn't have , in one of my many letters to her I sent some felt hearts, and she wrote me back demanding what are they for, I wrote back for fun....she had a fiery spirit and believed in eating dandelions everything, would offer words of wisdom and advice in all of her letters, and really did march to the beat of a different drummer, she was ahead of her time in so many ways, and a very strong woman. I also remember her when we were kids a picture of her stands out holding our all white cat pete,,,,she had a great laugh and she still sounded so young, her voice on my mom's her sister hazel's answering machine was always hi haze, nothing much here, just wanted to see how everything is ,,call me when you can....but she sounded really amazing. I hope she is at peace. She was a very special aunt.
