

Donald W. Keys, 80, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff, California. He was interred at Northern California Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Igo, California on December 27, 2013.
Don was born in Depew, Oklahoma on November 20, 1933 to Stuart and Ruby Keys. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Frances and their children John and William, grandchildren Christopher (Tammy) Keys, Danielle Keys, William R. Keys, Dakota Keys, Lee Keys, Carol June Keys, a dear friend that he felt was his daughter, Joyce Lundquist and great grandchildren, Kayla, Brandon, Maysie, Carei, Demarcus, Tieler, David, Gabrielle, William, Chase, Naomi, and Desmond.Surviving Don are his siblings, Edwin (Avral) Keys, of Santa Rosa, CA, Martena (Don) Yantz of McVeytown, PA, Carol (Ervin) Weston of Arco, ID and Kenneth (Rlyna) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Stuart and Ruby Keys and sister Billie Sonafrank.
Don was a graduate of Petaluma High. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea.
While working for A.T.&T., Don met and married Frances House,. They had two sons, John and William. Don enjoyed the 49ers Football, golfing, reading, and playing games with the family.
Don was a life member of the Red Bluff V.F.W. Post 1932. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans and American Legion.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff, California.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, California.
