Born at home on Kimball Road in Red Bluff, California to Floyd (Bud) and Lillian Spangle, the 9th of 10 children. Pre-deseased by parents and brothers: Donald, Dan, Richard, Jard, and John, sisters: Lillian Barnard and Nina Boles, and son: Daniel Givens. Elsie lost the love of her life, James Givens, in 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
Elsie is survived by brother Samuel and sister Grace. Her beloved children; son, Robert Givens and daughter, Lisa Givens. Grandchildren: Anthony Givens of Red Bluff, Robert Givens, Clarence Givens, Dallas Givens (Ivy), Elizabeth Reid Miller (Justen) of Oregon, Christina McArthur, Savannah Givens, and great-grandchildren: Douglas McArthur, Christopher McArthur, Oliver Givens, and Aurora McArthur of Texas, Calliope Givens, Colton McArthur, and Charlotte McArthur of Wyoming.
