On February, 21, 2022, Faye Jean Cargill passed away in Red Bluff, California. She was born in Burkburnett, Texas on October 15, 1934, to Callie Lou Woodruff and Horace Hubert Jackson. She attended Santa Maria High School and Allan Hancock College, and spent her career in educational services.
Jean was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed an active life up to her death. She was a lover of horses and found a natural ability in horse training. Everyone Jean met was a friend. She never missed an opportunity to attend a gathering where she brought light and love to everyone with a big smile.
Her enthusiasm for life will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harvey Cargill, her three daughters, a step-son, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She and Harvey had many adventures after an early retirement. They spent time in Oregon building a new home and enjoyed fishing Oregon lakes and streams. They moved back to Northern California and have lived in Red Bluff for the past 17 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Rd., Igo, CA, followed by a gathering at the Community Senior Center, 1500 S. Jackson St., Red Bluff, CA, from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
