My condolences.
I helped Nate in his 94 campaign and married him in 97 and divorced in 99.
I just found out about his passing today.

Nate was a shipmate of mine on board the USS Julius A Furer in Charleston S.C. and Philadelphia PA. I remember him as a passionate, thoughtful and truly caring friend. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I knew Nate from Chico State and helped him on his 1994 campaign run.  He will be sorely missed.  Even though it had been some time Nate planted a seed within me and strengthened my faith in Jesus Christ.  I didn't know it at the time but he stirred a passion within me for politics and faith in the public square.  See you in Heaven someday and thanks Nate for the opportunity to have met you.

May God surround you with his love and peace at this difficult time.

I remember Nate from High School, and still have warm memories of his kindness toward me. Glad he loved Jesus. "I am the resurrection and the life..." We'll see him again soon!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Nate.  My sister and I lived next door when we were children and had many times played football, baseball with all 4 brothers.  Nate will be missed and my heart goes out to his family.

So sorry to read of Nate's passing. I remember well the time we spent together as friends, he was always so very kind to me.

Dear Mary and Ralph, I have many memories of sharing your home and meals . You were always generous to me and I still really appreciate my conversations with you.  I will always treasure the time we stopped on Hwy 299 to pick autumn colored leaves after one of Nate's Shasta College Games. I last saw him about 1 1/2 years ago & had a great conversation. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Nate's family on your loss. Nate was a high school classmate and childhood friend.  Nate and I first met when we were twelve as teammates on the Red Bluff Buccaneers football team.  We were also football teammates throughout high school. He was number 64 and the hardest hitting player on the team by far. Off the field he was the nicest guy around. In the classroom Nate would sit in the first row and always had questions for the teacher. He was there to learn.
