

Nicolai was an 8th grade student at Vista Middle School, where he was known for his bright spirit and kind heart. He had a deep love for skateboarding, bike riding, drawing, playing video games, and spending time outdoors. Whether he was out on an adventure or just hanging out with friends and family, Nicolai found joy in the simple moments and made them unforgettable.
He was truly a sweet kid who could light up any room the moment he walked in. Nicolai had the kindest heart and was always willing to help anyone he could. He had an incredible personality and a natural ability to make people laugh. No matter the situation, he could bring a smile to everyone's face and lift the spirits of those around him.
Nicolai loved being with his friends and family and cherished every moment spent with them. He had a love for adventure and enjoyed exploring the world around him. He was full of life, energy, and curiosity.
He was taken from his family far too soon, leaving behind so many dreams and plans for the future. Nicolai was excited to begin high school and looked forward to getting a job and continuing to grow into the person he was becoming. His future was bright, and he embraced it with enthusiasm and hope.
He is survived by his loving mother, Bethany Koelker, his father Brandon Tideman, his sister Nalayla, and his brother Evan. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers.
Nicolai's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, kindness, and beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
