Gene was married to his 1st wife Diane Leanora Adams, and was blessed with 4 children, Ricky Eugene (Pam), Brian Dwayne (Kelley), Janelle Leanora (Bill), Kelly Mitchel (Jennifer), nine grandchildren; Scott, Nathan, Kasey, Brandon, Noah, Claire, Nicole, Jack Ryan & Grace. Gene then on March 2, 1972 married his 2nd wife Kathleen Joy Melton. Gene and Kathy moved to Red Bluff and started Gino's Hamburger Stand until September 1979. Their 2nd business was Gino's Trophies. Gene had a great love for bowling and bass fishing where he opened up his last business, Magic Worms by Gino. He manufactored Plastic Fishing Worms for avid Bass fishermen. Gene's worms were sold all over the U.S. and in 9 Foreign countries. His fishing took him 11 times to Mexico, he also fished in Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma & Massachuttes. Gene was preceded in death by his father, Thatcher Orvel Pierce, mother Mildred Lucille Pierce, sister Beverly Lucille Sherbert, And survived by sister Melinda Ann Ewing. Gene made many friends and fishing buddy's in his 46 years in Red Bluff. He will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held Thursday, September 20 from 5pm - 8pm. Services will be held at Chapel of the Flowers Friday, September 21 at 11:00am.
