Regina Angela Flores, age 87, of Red Bluff, CA passed away on February 18, 2018 at her son's home in Red Bluff, CA. She was born in Oratorio, jurisdiction of the city of Ilobasco, department of Cabanas, El Salvador to Esteban Flores and Carmen Mercado de Flores on September 7, 1930. Regina, along with her three brothers and five sisters, grew up on the family farm in Oratorio. There she learned hard work and her cooking skills that were her trademark throughout her life. As an adult, she lived in various towns of El Salvador, meeting the father of her children Ramon Pleitez in San Juan Opico, La Libertad. Eventually, they settled in the capital city of San Salvador. There, Regina became a convenient store owner and ran it until she came to Red Bluff, CA in 1984. The North State became Regina's home and it reminded her of her upbringing in the countryside of El Salvador. The wildlife, mountains, lakes, and coast gave her plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and activities like camping and family gatherings. Traveling to Oregon and Southern California to spend time with family and friends were common; and even though she was not really a gambler, she enjoyed going to Reno, Lake Tahoe, and local casinos. Regina is survived by her children Julia Deisi Espinoza, Miriam Pleitez, Linda Cendejas (Sal), Ovidio Pleitez (Rosario), and Galo Pleitez (Monica). She was the proud grandmother to Oscar (Rebeca), Daisy Karina (Juan), Joseph (Dana), Raymond, Erick (Sandra), Javier, Gina (Trevor), Regina, Celeste, Jacqueline, and Ian. But proudest of all, Regina was great-grandmother (GG) to Jenny, Valeria, Anabelle, Jonathan, Cynthia, Gisela, Angelo, Maya, Michael, Natalia Maria, Dylan, Alyssa, Arlyss, Noah, Gianmarco Bruno, Maverick, Michela Regina, and Crystalyn. She is also survived by sisters Rosenda, Carmen, and Teresa and countless extended family and dear friends. Regina was predeceased by her parents Esteban and Carmen, the father of her children Ramon, brothers Andres, Pablo, Pedro, sisters Juana and Lita and several nephews, nieces, and in-laws.
