Rose Marie (von Rotz) Hammer was born on December 14, 1948, the eldest of nine children of the late Niklaus (“Nick”) von Rotz, Sr. and Anna von Rotz. Rose Marie passed away in Sacramento, California on July 2, 2022 after a long illness. She was 73 years old. Rose Marie lived most of her life in Red Bluff, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hammer, her parents Nick and Anna von Rotz, her brothers Niklaus (Nick”) von Rotz, Jr. and Hermann von Rotz, her brother-in-law Jack Cushman, and her nieces Andrea Lee and Jody Cushman. She is survived by her siblings Paul von Rotz (Mimi), Rita Ramsey (Gary), Margaret “Gigi” Lee (Tom), Anne Cushman, Helen Eicholtz (Glenn), and Mary Sakuma (John), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10am at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers in Red Bluff, CA. In lieu of flowers, please give to the charity of your choice.
