This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Steven Grage 73 years old , born on July 10, 1945 and passed away on January 31, 2019. 

Steven was born to Larry and Mary Ann Grage.  He was a special man, who loved animals, and had a passion for fishing.  As a kid, on camping trips, he could always be found with a fishing pole in hand, with the family dog Annie.  He had a theory about "the eye of the fish", which must have worked because caught many.  

While in school, he worked for a veterinary clinic, where he loved taking care of animals., which was his true passion.  He was always on the Honor Roll, and well liked by students and teachers alike.  Steven graduated from Chico High School, in Chico, California.   Afterward he enrolled at Chico State University, before enlisting in the Navy, during Vietnam.  There he served as an Electrical Technician, on a Naval Mine Sweeper. He received several Commendations and medals during his time in the armed forces. 

After the Navy he worked for his father, in the family business, as an Electrical Contractor, before striking out on his own and starting his own business, where he built many great and lasting friendships in the Butte County building community.  Much like his father, he enjoyed working on the Almond Hullers out in the ranches, where he also enjoyed hunting duck, geese and quail.  Later in his life he started driving truck for Walmart Corporation, where he loved his time on the road.

He has one son, James Grage, who he was very proud of, along with his accomplishments.   He leaves behind many friends, his mother, Mary Ann Grage, and two beautiful grandchildren, whom he was most proud.  Steven will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  He was pre-deceased by his father, Larry Grage, his brother, Jim Grage, and his sister, Marcia Smith.
