Betty June Floyd was born August 18, 1932, to Ansley and Charles Floyd. She grew up in Redondo Beach, California, and attended Torrance High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Edward Metro, whom Betty affectionately called Eddie. They were married on October 25, 1950 and were together for 68 years.
Betty and Eddie worked hand and hand over the years, building a life, a loving home, and raising three beautiful daughters. They began with a television store and then turned to real estate, building commercial rental properties, residential properties, and self-storage facilities. They also built five homes of their own. They were proud of what they built and, most of all, the life it provided for their family. Together, they created a life rooted in hard work, partnership, family, and a deep commitment to one another. A true dream team.
Betty was spirited, loyal, accepting, generous and compassionate, and loved her husband and family deeply. She is survived by her three daughters Carol Johnson (Gary), Tery Bordsen (Jay), and Jan Hill ( Jeff and Bubba), grandchildren Lindsay, Amber (Jaime), Alexis (Ryan), Caleb, Shane (Rochelle), Ali, Noah, Charlie (Eden), Chase, Lola, and Lincoln, and great-grandchildren Avery, Isaiah, Jonathan, Audriana, Kennedy, Lauren, Brooks, and Payton.
Betty is now reunited with Eddie and their beautiful love story continues beyond this life. She left us with so many stories, so much laughter, and a lifetime of memories that we will carry with us always. She was one of a kind and there will never be another her.
