Connie Patricia Corona

Born on September 9, 1936, Connie was the beloved daughter of Elmer & Vilma Leonard. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was marked by faith, generosity, and grace.

Connie is survived by her husband, Martin Salas; her children, Bill Hess (Didi), Jeri Hawkins (Mike), and Julie Scheckla (Mark); her five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Herman Leonard (Sharlene) and Clinton Leonard (Mary), and her sister, Mary Ellen.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, Jerry Hess, and her second husband, Robert Corona, with whom she shared 13 joyful years.

A homemaker for over 70 years, Connie found fulfillment in caring for her family, nurturing her home, and sharing her faith. She was known for her warmth, her generous spirit, and her joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her.

Her Christian faith was a guiding force in her life, sustaining her through every season. She is now at peace in the presence of her Savior.

A visitation for Connie will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at McDonald's Chapel, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, CA 96001. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, CA 96001. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 1275 Continental Street, Redding, CA 96001.
